SodaBlaster Removes...
• paint and coatings
• surface residue
• surface corrosion
• grease and oils
• bonded gaskets etc
• smoke deposits
A major advantage is that the surface-tension of metals is not broken, which eliminates the problem of flash-rusting.
What is Soda - Blasting
The process involves blasting sodium bicarbonate against the surface to be cleaned, using low-pressure compressed air. Unlike an abrasive, sodium bicarbonate particles remove contaminants by means of the energy released when the particles explode on contact with the surface. This non-abrasive action allows it to be used on surfaces, which would be damaged by abrasive media: aluminum, stainless steel, brick, stone, glass, fiberglass, wood, plastics, bearings, seals, hydraulic cylinders and more.

Soda blasting also breaks down hydrocarbons, which makes it highly suitable for cleaning engines, engine parts and when your finished just rinse off and the water soluble soda disappears.

The non-flammable properties of sodium bicarbonate allow it to be used for cleaning in the petroleum industry where other methods cannot be used. Likewise, its non-toxic properties mean that it can be used in food-processing and similar areas.
Sodablast is a process where a surface is cleaned and coatings (of any kind) are stripped from a substrate (the surface beneath the material you are trying to remove). The Sodablast compressor propels a bicarbonate-of-soda based media via compressed air onto the surface to be cleaned. This process gently removes the material without harming the substrate and can be done wet or dry.

The Soda Blast Sysytem is an alternative to traditional cleaning methods. Soda Blasting is environmentally friendly, less damaging, and in most cases more effective and generally a faster process.
